The climate across the S-N Scandinavian mountain range varies from more oceanic (humid) on the W-side to more continental (drier) on the E-side. The examples for Sweden are for the E-side, the examples presented here are for the W-side. The Dovre fjell is a large plateau on the way from Oslo to Trondheim at around 1000 m elevation, which is at or just above the birch treeline. |
