"Global change" refers to large scale, long tem anthropogenic transformations of the globe's surface and its atmosphere, and thus, has various facets:

This lesson will present some examples of the four highlighted global change themes.

Land use in the Alpine involves intensification or extensification of grazing (see Impact of domestic livestock), impacts by tourism, traffic routes, or hydro-electric constructions.
